Twitter serait sur le point de supprimer les comptes des utilisateurs inactifs du réseau social. En effet, beaucoup des premiers utilisateurs de Twitter se sont enregistrés avec des noms d’utilisateur très demandés, et sont partis par la suite sans supprimer leur compte. De nombreux comptes avec des noms d’utilisateurs très demandés restent donc bloqués.

Chez Twitter, aucun compte n’est supprimé, à moins qu’il ne soit pas conforme aux conditions d’utilisation du site (spam, etc). Donc même un compte jugé “inactif” (sans activité depuis plus de 6 mois) est conservé. C’est cette règle qui pourrait changer prochainement selon un employé de chez Twitter.

Pour l’instant aucune date n’est précisée, mais elle risque de donner lieu à une belle course pour les noms d’utilisateurs très recherchés!
